Through the Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund, SoCal Dream has been awarded a grant that will allow the corps to purchase some much needed equipment.

Disney cast members from the Disneyland Resort donate money each year that is then awarded to nonprofit organizations with which cast members are affiliated.  This year, Disney cast member and SoCal Dream drum major, Marc Larranaga, nominated SoCal Dream for a grant.  Out of all nominations, 64 were selected to receive a portion of the approximately $315,000 available, and the members voted to award SoCal Dream the highest amount for any one group.

 On December 5th, from 11:00am - 2:00pm, Socal Dream will be hosting their "Open House - Membership Day"

There will be a brief general introduction followed by a time for you to meet our new staff as well as other prospective members of the 2010 SoCal Dream Drum & Bugle Corps.  This is a great opportunity to get to know the caption heads as well as learn what they will expect of you. 

You will also have a chance to read "Necrology" by Dr. Gary Nash. This piece is the foundation of our 2010 show, "A Celebration of Life and Times".
