Through the Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund, SoCal Dream has been awarded a grant that will allow the corps to purchase some much needed equipment.

Disney cast members from the Disneyland Resort donate money each year that is then awarded to nonprofit organizations with which cast members are affiliated.  This year, Disney cast member and SoCal Dream drum major, Marc Larranaga, nominated SoCal Dream for a grant.  Out of all nominations, 64 were selected to receive a portion of the approximately $315,000 available, and the members voted to award SoCal Dream the highest amount for any one group.

SoCal Dream Director Michael Nash said, "We are very proud and grateful to have been selected from all the nominations.  This is a very generous grant and we would like to thank all of the VoluntEARS cast members for awarding this to SoCal Dream."

SoCal Dream, along with the Velvet Knights, are the first drum & Bugle corps to be awarded grants from the Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund in over 20 years.
